Realized from French leathers coming from Alsace or Dordogne, the Meyer saddle needs a frequent and specific maintenance.

Before the first use

Oil at least once (ideally 3 times) before the first use each part of the saddle except the girth straps.
Attention : Make sure you apply the oil equally everywhere, by getting a homogenous color.

Clean the saddle using glycerin soap, at least once a week.
In the summer, oil the saddle to prevent the leather from drying, because of the heat.
If the saddle is exposed to the rain, clean it up with glycerin soap let it dry and apply oil.

It is important to keep the saddle in a dry and vented place.
